SOUNDERS DISORIENTATION PACK

Get in line now, get in line now

Stay in time with the rhythm and rhyme

Get around town, get around town

Where the people look good, where the music is loud

Get around town, no need to stand proud

Add your voice to the sound of the crowd

THE K-LINE has been K-WALKED.

The Old Straight Track has been unearthed and charged.

The SOUNDING OF THE K-LINE is step two of a

twelve-step and 300 year plan.

The SOUNDING OF THE K-LINE across the River Thames and the River Mersey are to be considered as a priority.

A SOUNDING occurs when a VOCAL TAG is passed along

THE K-LINE between two or more places.

A VOCAL TAG should probably be the phrase "K-LINE"

A VOCAL TAG should probably not be the word "BOGEY"

Submissions require GPS coordinates from each location

along THE K-LINE. tThe will be added to THE MAP

Participants may take up THE SOUNDING BATON

by starting at a previous SOUNDING location.

It has been suggested that an early morning sounding from TRANCENTRAL to BATTERSEA K-LINE POWER STATION would require a team of five SOUNDERS spaced 230 metres apart.

It is respectfully demanded that the streets of LIVERPOOL and BIRKENHEAD resonate with THE SOUNDING OF THE K-LINE on the weekend around November 23rd 2024.

Submision of a SOUNDING can be achieved via the link below.

KONDUCTORS DISORIENTATION PACK

The K-LINE is sculpture made of Time and Place and five dozen willing volunteers.

These willing volunteers are called KONDUCTORS.

There are two levels of KONDUCTOR, based on their initial level of enthusiasm.

KONDUCTORS:

Take it to the end of the line, or the start or the middle

Are the protagonists of their own story

Are the architects of their own downfall

SUPER KONDUCTORS:

As above, with one more, currently undisclosed role.

THE HISTORY OF THE K-LINE

Once upon a time, there was nothing. Then there was chaos.

But out of the chaos came order in the form of primeval mud and within this primeval mud, The Five drew The Line. The Line was 180 miles long drawing its power from the chaos that surrounded it.

When primitive man first crawled out of the cave, they were drawn to The Line through its rich vegetation and fertile hunting grounds. Stones were raised along its length as markers for future generations, but incoming conquerors and religious orders destroyed whatever they came across. In a land strewn from top to bottom with Neolithic sites of stone circles, it is the complete absence of any stone circles along The Line that tells its own story*.

Preliminary research has revealed significant hotspots or nodes along The Line where it connects perpendicularly with an ancient stone circle site, most notably at The Tuning Fork Tree in the area around Tring, that is the konnection point of the spur that leads to Stonehenge.

*Modern day stone circles at Weedon Henge and Stonepit Field suggest that there may be other interested parties at work.
